LDSIG event - pictures at the event and some way. Saw five 5 presentations from BNSF Dispatching to River Barge operations, MQTT tech stuff and layout improvements, plus talk on the Franklin & South Manchester RR. Steve Davis’ KCS 3rd Sub - this really large HO was near doubled in recent years, and the new addition is a mushroom plan. Steve’s railroad is DCC, uses JMRI manifest, a large Dispatcher’s panel, and even RFID in the main yard. Ken Heywood’s Cape Code Railroad - very enjoyable session on this home layout located in one bay of the garage, this kept 3 of us busy for several hours. The operating lift bridge was impressive, plus the staging cassette use. Steve Campbell’s Frisco Cherokee Sub - set in Tulsa 1950, three railroads operate all within Yard Limits, the Frisco, MKT and Santa Fe. Each interchanged with the other and had various local switching duties of it’s own to keep you busy.

Tulsa has been hosting LDSIG event weekends for years. These are often a Saturday event with 4 to 5 established Speakers, giving presentations on model railroad layout designing. Often, Tulsa will include 3 Operating Sessions in the mix, as did this time. This means you get to operate on 3 different layouts, attend a part-day of presentations with a luncheon, and a group dinner as well. Here are pictures at the event, from the trip and at 3 layouts I worked at…
